Question Regarding Root File Output from DelphesPythia8_EDM4HEP

Hello,

I have many questions that I have tried to read the documentation and have tried to read through the code to understand but still find myself wondering. My question regarding the output after running DelphesPythia8_EDM4HEP is how are the collections filled, and what makes the difference between each collection_variable#[ i ] e.g. the difference between Jet#0, Jet#1, etc.? Additionally, why do some collections only contain maybe one or two sub-collections while others have as many as six. Perhaps this is a question of how the collections are filled really.

This leads into another question. In a different post it was mentioned by @clement.helsens that I can run my own jet clustering (Jet Clustering). This being said what would be the difference between a jet reconstructed in this fashion rather than using the jet collection?

Thank you for your assistance!

hello @zalegria ,

you can have a look here already (please note this is under development, thus it could still be incomplete to some extend):

I’ll be away the next 10days, thus I will let @eperez or @ganis help you.

Cheers,
Clement

Hello everyone,

Is anyone able to available to discuss my questions further?

Best,

Zack
